Sixty Songs, Sixty Artists from the British Invasion

Pushing on with the sixty songs from sixty Australian artists from the sixties theme we started last week – with such great success – our show on the 10th of May 2020 focused in on the British Invasion that lasted between 1963 and very early 1967.

Sixty fabulous tracks that crossed the Atlantic and took the US by storm.

Shown below are just some of the artists that featured in the show.

Lulu

Small Faces

Cliff Richard

Shirley Bassey

The Silkie

Donovan

The Rolling Stones

The Animals

Charles’ Pick

Matthew and Son – Cat Stevens

A wonderfully insightful – and enduring – song written, composed and performed by my all-time favourite performer, Cat Stevens. Amazingly, he was only 18 years old at the time, clearly demonstrating the talent that was to be unleashed upon the world during the 1970s.
